器身主體為鳳凰,鳳凰顧盼生輝,姿態驕矜清貴,頭冠是標準清朝乾隆後期的鳳冠,鳳凰胸前下方有獸面紋,胸前和腿部是花卉紋,鳳凰背上有龍龜馱壽字,兩邊有雙蝠紋,雙翅微上捲,尾巴羽毛長至拖地,鳳凰曲腳站在彩色岩石上,岩石上有嵌絲琺瑯花卉、水草以及銅鎏金花卉,底座上方紋飾以八角形內花卉為底,邊緣有顧首夔龍紋及回紋,中央是夔龍紋。底座以四獸面為足,底座左右兩側中央是雙蝠壽字,兩邊有夔龍紋,中央飾有花卉壽桃,底作前後兩側則以雙蝠壽字和花卉為飾。
Made in the shape of a lively phoenix, the phoenix exhibits an arrogant and elegant posture. The head crown features a standard late Qianlong period phoenix crown while the lower chest of the phoenix is decorated with beast patterns. Flower patterns decorate the upper chest and legs of the phoenix. A dragon turtle symbolizing longevity sits on the back of the phoenix while the two sides of the ornament have twin bat patterns. The wings of the phoenix are curled slightly upwards and the long tail drags on the ground. The colored stones that the phoenix is standing on have inlaid flowers, water plants, and gilded brass flowers. At the top of the base are octagon encircled flowers. The edges are decorated with dragon and repeating patterns, with the center decorated with a dragon pattern. A four-faced beast is used as the base, and the middle of the left and right sides have twin bats and a “壽” text symbolizing longevity. The other two sides have dragon patterns with flower and peach decorating the center. The front and back of the base are decorated with twin bats, the “壽” character, and flowers.
此件紋飾皆以做工更精細的嵌絲為邊,再填厚實、不透明的琺瑯礦物彩料,琺瑯礦物彩料放大後觀之有雜質、沙眼,係因為低溫窯燒燒製,琺瑯彩都是標準清朝乾隆時期宮廷常見的色系和紋飾。此件琺瑯彩有天然包漿銅胎之氧化效應,溫潤呈現寶光,黃銅胎與清朝初期相比較重,與明朝銅鎏金相比,胎體微輕,鎏金色澤較黃亮,是清朝乾隆時期標準的鎏金方式。鑄造方式是標準中、大型脫蠟法,局部有沙孔,紋飾細膩,少部分有鎏金和嵌絲脫落的痕跡。
These patterns and decorations all have detailed inlays, which are filled with opaque mineral enamel coloring. Magnification of the mineral enamel coloring shows impurities and holes caused by low-temperature kiln firing. The colors and patterns on this ornament are all commonly seen during the Qianlong period. Oxidation can be seen on the brass base around the enamel. Exhibiting a warm glow, the brass base is heavier compared to the brass base from early Qing dynasty. Compared to gilded brass from the Ming dynasty, this brass is lighter and the gold gild is yellower in color. This is the standard gilding method during the Qianlong period. Standard medium and large lost wax method is used for the casting, which creates some sand holes. The patterns are delicate, with some flaking of the gild and inlay visible.
底座上有標準六字「大清乾隆年製」篆書刻款,筆劃平直,轉角略帶圓勢;同一筆畫的轉折有些是斷開後再起筆,但雖有斷筆而勢不斷;筆劃渾厚有力,結體大氣,「製」字「刀」部斷開。
The base is inscribed with “大清乾隆年製.” The strokes are flat and straight, with rounded corners. Some of the strokes are made with the lifting and re-pressing of the brush at the bend of the characters. However, the strokes are powerful. The “刀” on the “製” character is separate.
